AH Insured Services Consultation
As mentioned in February 21 President's Letter, the Government of Alberta tore up the agreement with Alberta physicians and announced that it would impose 11 consultation items that were provided for consultation purposes in November 2019. The AMA is continues to be deeply concerned at the sheer devastation that these proposals will cause when implemented. The threat to rural family medicine is particularly severe, but all areas of the profession will be impacted.
Please review the AMA’s Response to: Alberta Health’s Insured Services Consultation document to see the sensible alternatives proposed by the AMA that government has neither acknowledged or accepted.
