Succession Planning Companion Document

Succession planning is the process of identifying long-range future needs of the organization and finding, assessing and developing the human capital necessary to achieve the organization’s strategy. A more comprehensive review of Succession Planning is available within a Guidebook available from the AMA. This document is intended to be a companion document that focuses on the key administrative staff within a PCN, as the Guidebook focuses more on succession planning for the PCN Board. The process, with some notable differences, is somewhat similar and both documents can be used accordingly.
