April 2023 - Panels, Encounters & Consults, Oh My!: CII/CPAR Practice Tips

CII/CPAR is an important aspect of Alberta’s plan to ‘seal the cracks’ that patients can fall through. It requires changes in processes and workflows to maintain accurate panels, to facilitate information moving from the EMR to the clinical encounter digest (CED), and to efficiently manage eNotifications and effectively leverage consults.

If you are a CII / CPAR participating physician and would like to upgrade your HQCA proxy panel report to a Confirmed Patient List (CPL) report, follow these steps:  

  1. Visit request.hqca.ca
  2. Select family physician (for requestor)
  3. Select physician CPL report (for type of report)
  4. Fill in your contact information (name, email, number, PRAC ID and PCN)
  5. Check off “enroll me” if you’d like to receive your CPL automatically in future years 
  6. Optional: add a delegate (a delegate is a member of your team you want to share your report with)
  7. Select submit. You will receive your report in two weeks.
