Thank you to all who joined us live for Part 2 of PCCM Panel Prep! This three-part series, offered by AMA-ACTT, is a great way to prepare for PCCM, a new funding model coming to Alberta with a panel-based payment component.

Physicians still considering whether to join CII/CPAR should watch the on-demand recording of Part 1 of this series before watching Part 2.

This video is intended for Alberta physicians and was recorded on Oct 16, 2024.

Webinar Recap & Key Takeaways

  • CII/CPAR is the most effective way to improve panel size accuracy… and improve continuity of care!
  • After you’re live on CII/CPAR, you still need to confirm that your expected EMR panel size is being fully uploaded to CPAR.
  • Common causes of a patient not being uploaded to CPAR from your EMR include:
    • Validation/Confirmation date is blank.
    • Patient has been assigned a Patient Status that is not CPAR-enabled (applicable for Accuro, Healthquest, Med Access, PSS, Wolf), or has not been assigned a “Primary Care Provider” that is live on CII/CPAR in the EMR..
    • Patient has not been assigned to a CPAR-enabled panel in the EMR (applicable for AVA and CHR).
    • Last visit date is blank.
    • Demographics don’t match those in Netcare.
  •  Enlist your PCN and CPAR Panel Admin to help with this process!
