President's Letter
Dear Members,
Important program details
I wrote to you briefly on November 2 and more details are now available. I have noted below things that you need to know or do at this time. For those who want to read more, links are provided for each item.
- One-time (lump-sum) payment: Unless you wish to receive a cheque, please select a bank account into which we will deposit the one-time payment. Log into “My AMA Dashboard” then “My profile” and select a bank account from the drop-down list.
- Medical Liability Reimbursement: All deductibles will return to $1,000. If you paid a higher deductible for 2022, watch for information about additional reimbursement in a few weeks.
- Continuing Medical Education: Expenses from April 1, 2021 to March 31, 2022 will be covered by a $2,100 benefit. Please see the following Alberta Health Bulletin for more information and to access the application and claims form. We will soon open for AMA-administered 2022-23 expenses with a $2,200 benefit.
Renew your membership to qualify
Most AMA members have already renewed their memberships. If you haven’t renewed yet, please renew as soon as possible to ensure eligibility for these and other benefits and programs.
Thank you for reading and renewing!
You are always welcome to share your thoughts with me. You can email me via [email protected]. You can also comment below on this letter.
