Karina Guy brings over 25 years of experience as a health care system transformation executive. 

Karina Guy brings over 25 years of experience as a health care system transformation executive. Her career has focused on influencing health system strategy, policy and operations to assist in the modernization of Canada’s health care systems within the publicly funded framework. Karina has led large scale transformation programs throughout the continuum of care, including within primary care, continuing care, public health, acute care and emergency health services.

In Karina’s recent role as Managing Director, Healthcare and Public Sector with Accenture Strategy & Consulting, she led the Provincial EHR Modernization Program with Ontario Health, as well as working with the Nova Scotia Health Authority to support the design and implementation of the first Canadian provincial-level care coordination center. In her previous role as Partner, Health and Public Sector (Western Canada) with KPMG, she led a number of projects with Alberta Health, including the provincial personal health record (MyHealth Records), program reviews and health workforce planning analytics. With her experience as an executive in large, multi-national organizations, Karina also has extensive operational and business administration experience.

Karina holds a post-master’s diploma in Applied Health Informatics from Johns Hopkins University, School of Nursing and a master’s degree in Archival and Information Studies from the University of British Columbia.
