President's Letter
Dear Members,
An AMA-Alberta Health Alternative Relationship Plan Working Group will begin meeting in September, as provided for under our agreement. This is essential work to remove many barriers that have existed in developing and implementing ARPs.
The joint committee’s key objectives will be to address alternative compensation model challenges (member login required), inform on clinical ARP policy and ARP models, address items listed in the Agreement (please see Schedule 4; page 32 of the AMA Agreement), with recommendations being made to the Management Committee.
The AMA Board has appointed the following physicians to represent the AMA and we thank them for agreeing to participate:
- Dr. Chris Bockmuehl
- Dr. Richard Hanelt
- Dr. Steve Lopushinsky
- Dr. Vesta Michelle Warren
