Since last fall, many Alberta physicians and teams have joined ACTT’s various Networks of Practice (NoPs) to learn from experts, collaborate, innovate and help shape health system transformation.
Every one of our NoP has welcomed more participants over the last year:
Each of the four main Networks meet the needs of a specific area:
Practice Facilitation
This is the first Network ACTT established. It was launched in 2017 to connect practice facilitators from across the province every three to four weeks.
Electronic Medical Records
Started in in 2019, this network supports physicians and health care team members working with electronic medical record platforms. Currently, there are six distinct EMR networks who meet monthly for interactive webinars and collaborative online discussions, one for each of the different record platforms:
-
- Accuro
- Ava
- Collaborative Health Record (CHR)
- Healthquest
- Med Access
- PS Suite
Physician Leadership
Introduced in 2020 and led by physicians, these 60-minute sessions are run online approximately every six weeks. The network creates a space for physicians across various specialties to learn and develop leadership skills together while sharing experiences and expertise in a supportive community environment. The courses provided in and to this Network are accredited Continuing Medical Education (CME) courses to support lifelong learning for Alberta doctors.
Clinic Manager
Just introduced this year, in partnership with the Alberta Association of Clinic Managers this Network supports best practices for the daily operations of a community office. The growth of the Networks is encouraging, as Alberta health care providers who participate in the sessions find value in connecting with their peers and the learning opportunities available.
