Physician mental health and how to get support through PFSP

Stress, anxiety, burnout and depression are commonplace among physicians – even before facing a global pandemic. Mental health issues can have devastating consequences on the individual, their family and the profession.

The AMA Physician and Family Support Program has been providing unique support to physicians and their loved ones for over 20 years. When calling in to the Assistance Line, physicians speak to our local, third-party provider and have direct access to experienced physicians providing peer-to-peer support and a province-wide network of highly trained therapists who have experience working with physicians and their families.
