Similar to 2020, in 2021, no one was permitted to travel due to the COVID-19 pandemic. With input from the AMA Committee on Student Affairs, ADIUM randomly selected the following 20 AMA student members from the classes of 2022 and 2023 to receive the grants:

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, medical students were unable to travel in 2020 as they normally would have to complete medical electives across the country or internationally. With input from the AMA Committee on Student Affairs, it was decided that the fairest way to distribute this year’s grants was by random draw of entries received from medical student members (classes of 2021 and 2022).
