Preparing for a career in medicine
Sana is a first year medical student at the U of A. She obtained her BSc in microbiology and immunology from the University of British Columbia.
Sana is the newly elected provincial governance representative of the class of 2027 at the U of A. She is the main liaison between the AMA and the medical student body.

On a personal note
Sana has prior research experience in various areas, including studies on the spinal cord, tuberculosis and the placenta. She aspires to delve into the fields of dermatology or internal medicine in the future.
Sana is currently learning to golf and says, "...even though I'm not very good, it's enjoyable!" She also has a deep passion for hiking. She completed her undergraduate degree in Vancouver, where she had the opportunity to explore beautiful hiking trails. Now, living in Edmonton, she is excited to explore the stunning Jasper region.
