What do I see as the benefits of belonging to/working with the AMA? The AMA provides a unified voice of advocacy for patients and members to work with government at all levels.
An active AMA member
Dr. Wilson joined the Alberta Medical Association in 1992. His leadership activities with the AMA include:
- President, Section of Neurology
- POSP committee member
- IMIT committee member with multiple IT roles as a leader for digitization of the medical office
Favourite AMA memory?
"To be able to look at where we have evolved from a paper office to electronic medical records over my practice career. And I have especially fond memories of the people, AMA members and staff, I have met and worked with along the way."
On a personal note
Dr. Wilson is a former Ironman and still cycles and swims. He enjoys photography, videography, woodworking, cooking and cheering on his daughters who play on the University of Alberta Pandas hockey team.
