Favorite AMA memory?
Dr. Parks has so many favourite memories that it is hard for him to pick, especially after having served six years on the Board!
"One memory that does jump out at me as particularly memorable was when I was first thrown into the maelstrom of media frenzy in October 2010. It was when emergency overcrowding cases were leaked, and many emergency meetings and press conferences were held. The AMA staff were a tremendous resource to help with this critical advocacy work, and helped immensely in making sure I didn’t trip myself up with government and media!" - Dr. Paul Parks
On a personal note
Dr. Parks is dedicated cinephile and is working his way through the entire collection of Roger Ebert’s 4 Star and Great Movies. He is also an avid craft beer lover and co-founder/co-owner of Hell’s Basement Brewery in Medicine Hat" "...if you are ever in town give me a shout and I’ll buy you a fresh craft beer and we can sit down and solve all the problems in the health care system/world!" - Dr. Paul Parks
