The CMA's work is informed by the tens of thousands of doctors, residents and medical students across the country. Together, they reflect a range of backgrounds, types of practice and locations — rural, remote and urban.
The CMA also collaborates across the health sector, with professional organizations representing the many people who deliver care alongside physicians and with networks of the patients and caregivers they serve.
A national role
Our health system is under unprecedented pressure. The change we need cannot happen without collaboration between all levels of government and health professions.
The CMA is committed to leading that change — by bringing the right people together to tackle the complex challenges we face, by championing solutions through research, analysis and engagement, by supporting others through charitable giving and by influencing health policy.
